Morning news almost shook me up when I heard that Pandit Ravi Shankar is more with us. He died of breating difficulties on 11 December 2012 at around 4:30pm PST at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, San Diego, California. Although I am 24 right now but we both belong to the same place West Bengal, India. He was a legend, and an inspiration of Indian Classical music. Contribution made by him is immense in the field of Indian Classical Music and without him it wouldn’t have been possible to present such a great heritage in front of the world.
Today, I feel we have lost a great musician Even in our young minds, he has set an example and will remain immortal forever and ever within us. RIP “Pandit Ravi Shankar”.
